NJ Club Internship Program
Today's students are our peers tomorrow and our industry leaders of the future. Therefore it is not only in our best interest, but also our responsibility as club professionals to provide students the opportunity to experience, and hopefully embrace, our club operations.
NJCMA has recently completed the 2024 New Jersey Club Internship Program booklet using this link to view opportunities. A link to this online booklet is also posted on NJCMA's website in hopes of being viewed by universities with or without CMAA Student Chapters in order to foster and promote opportunities for employment at clubs within our chapter.
This online booklet facilitates communication between students and club managers. We have a number of clubs included in the booklet which will aid students in making the initial step in connecting with a club. This program is funded by the New Jersey Club Foundation. The program conveys to students that they can contact clubs for possible employment opportunities for summer or part-time jobs, intern programs, or potential management positions following graduation.
Additionally, in an effort to reach as many students as possible, business cards have been made up which have our new logo, the NJ Club Internship Program title, and a link to the online booklet with instructions to visit the site should they wish to learn more about opportunities at NJ Clubs. These cards will be distributed to each of the student chapters at conference and are available for distribution at neighboring Universities.
In addition to employment opportunities, each academic year the New Jersey Club Foundation may award up to four scholarships between $2500 and $5000 (based on the availability of funds and merit of applications). Scholarship awards will be made at the recommendation of the Selection Committee and approval of the New Jersey Club Foundation Board.
We thank the clubs who participated in this program and hope the clubs who did not participate this year will consider doing so in 2024. We believe our managers and clubs receive significant benefits when we can attract and retain the best and brightest in the industry.
Please contact us at the numbers below if you have any questions or comments about the program.
Sincerely,
Rosemary Panno
NJCMA/NJCF Managing Director
