Session III
The New Normal: Your 2022 Washington Update
Presented by Brad D. Steele, Founder of Private Club Consultants
With the pandemic causing more headaches as it "wanes" and Washington causing more problems as it "helps," what does the future hold for growth and prosperity in the club industry? This presentation will provide a quick update into Joe Biden's agenda to see how his priorities are impacting clubs. Additionally, we'll review what's emerging from the House and Senate on tax, labor, and employment policy.
Finally, we'll look at how the 2022 mid-term elections are shaping up and what the results could mean for clubs across the country. There is no doubt the last year has produced major changes in the way Washington does things, which means major changes for clubs. This program will help you and your team understand what this new normal means and how to avoid some of its pitfalls moving forward.
The session's learning objectives are to:
1. Identify the main legislative and regulatory issues likely to impact clubs in 2022,
2. Examine the political dynamic in Washington as it relates to the industry's goals and needs, and
3. Provide club leaders with the tools necessary to help protect and advance their clubs and the industry.
