The New Jersey Club Managers Association cordially invites you to participate in the 2018 New Jersey Club Foundation Golf Tournament on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Fiddler's Elbow Country Club located in Bedminster, NJ. General Manager, Tom Hurley and his entire staff have been working diligently in conjunction with our tournament committee to provide all attendees with an unforgettable day of golf, camaraderie, fellowship, and stellar food, beverage and service indicative of Fiddler's Elbow Country Club. This is a rare opportunity for you to seize the opportunity to experience Fiddler's Elbow Country Club while supporting the New Jersey Club Foundation. It is only through your generosity and participation that we are able to continue our passion to help those in need.
Proceeds from this year's tournament will support:
Advancing Opportunities- A leader among New Jersey’s disability service providers, Advancing Opportunities, Inc. has been offering supports to people with all types of disabilities and their families since 1950. The organization traces its roots to the parent advocates who created the United Cerebral Palsy Association of New Jersey. In the 66 years since its inception, the agency has been delivering person-centered services in community settings to help people with disabilities live as independently as they are able at home, school, work and play. The agency provides residential supports, from occasional supervision to care 24 hours a day. Employment services help men and women progress along their career paths. Individual and family supports give respite to caregivers and inclusive recreational and learning opportunities to people of all ages. The assistive technology team helps people find and learn to use the tools and devices that will help them reach their goals. Advocates ensure the rights of individuals with disabilities are upheld.
180 Turning Lives Around Inc.: For 40 years, 180 Turning Lives Around Inc, has been the sole provider of services to victims of domestic and sexual violence in Monmouth County. In fact, in 1976, we opened the first federally funded battered women’s shelter in the United States. 180 continues to provide life-saving services through emergency shelter, transitional housing, therapeutic service to children, court advocacy, counseling and hotlines to thousands of victims of domestic and sexual violence each year, including the statewide helpline for children and teenagers known as 2NDFLOOR.Since 2006, 180 had only been able to shelter and protect half of the families that were fleeing domestic violence in Monmouth County. Determined to meet our community needs, we undertook the initiative to build a new facility, the result of which was a 17,000 square ft. 12 bedroom, 45 bed safe house which opened in February 2016. It is the largest shelter for victims of domestic violence in NJ.
Metropolitan Golf Association Foundation: .
Since its founding in 1991, the MGA Foundation has impacted thousands of young people through Caddie Academies, GOLFWORKS, The First Tee of Metropolitan New York and Junior Competitions. Educational programs for clubs and a library and archives center at Golf Central help fulfill our mission to help preserve the game's past and protect its future. Our Mission is to offer young people from all our communities, life changing experiences through golf. Innovative programs reflecting the values and traditions of golf provide a great education and a solid link to future opportunities.
This prestigious tournament will be limited to the first 240 players that sign up to play on one of the two magnificent golf courses at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club. We are reaching out to you the members of NJCMA first. The tournament will be open to our members and Corporate Partners prior to June 15th. It will be open to our club suppliers, PGA, GCSAA, HFTP, Metropolitan Chapter, Philadelphia Chapter, and NYC Chapter as well as our many corporate allies and friends after June 15th.
